What we do
TrainAnyone, with training, can help mobilize others to fight AIDS. Hope In View's one-week intensive training course has given many lay people the knowledge and skills to do this. Trainings can be custom-designed for short-term mission teams, youth groups, academic settings, and other contexts. Contact us for information.
Inform & ChallengeHope In View volunteers speak to service clubs, high school and university classes, churches, groups of health professionals, and other community groups. Volunteers are especially trained to present the challenges of AIDS in ways that complement the mission and values of churches, synagogues, and mosques.
MentorHope In View helps trainees find opportunities to use their new skills in the USA and abroad, and mentors them through their initial experiences. We also maintain mentoring relationships through e-mail and return visits with leaders in AIDS-affected countries with whom we have worked.
ConsultHope In View volunteers help leaders in AIDS-affected countries think through the problems they encounter in fighting AIDS and plan strategic means of accomplishing their goals. Clients have included hospital administrators and physicians, leaders of community-based organizations, and church consortiums.
ConnectOften people needing resources and people having resources don't know about each other or understand one another. Hope In View volunteers have formed networks and helped people share resources in many contexts in Africa, Latin America, and Ukraine. They especially try to help people connect with existing materials and programs rather than having to develop their own. Hope In View also helps persons with different professional skills find opportunities to use them.
CollaborateHope in View does not embark on its own projects; we work only at the invitation of other organizations, in partnership with them. Hope In View collaborates with organizations for which AIDS training will help them meet their larger goals, even as they help us defeat AIDS. |
